Domain Sync Settings

In WHMCS, the Domain Sync Settings allow you to configure how WHMCS communicates and synchronizes domain status with your registrar. This ensures that WHMCS accurately reflects the status of domains under your management.

Here's how you can configure domain sync settings in WHMCS:

  1. Log into WHMCS: Access your WHMCS admin panel using your username and password.

  2. Navigate to Configuration: Click on the "Configuration" tab in the top navigation menu.

  3. Domain Registrars: Under the "System Settings" section, click on "Domain Registrars."

  4. Edit Registrar Settings: Find the registrar you want to configure for domain syncing and click on the "Edit" icon (pencil icon) next to it.

  5. Sync Settings Tab: In the registrar settings, look for a tab or section related to domain synchronization. This can vary depending on the registrar.

    • Registrar-Specific Settings: Each registrar may have different options for domain synchronization. These settings typically include options like enabling/disabling domain syncing, setting the sync frequency, and configuring advanced sync options.

    • Sync Frequency: This is how often WHMCS will check with the registrar to update domain statuses.

    • Sync Enabled: Check this box to enable domain syncing for this registrar.

    • Sync Next Due Date: Some registrars allow syncing of the next due date of domains.

  6. Save Changes: After configuring the domain sync settings, click the "Save Changes" button to apply your modifications.

  7. Repeat for Other Registrars (if needed): If you have multiple registrars, repeat the above steps for each one.

Please note that the exact steps and options may vary depending on the registrar you are using and the specific integration with WHMCS.

It's important to periodically review and test your domain sync settings to ensure that WHMCS accurately reflects the status of your domains. Additionally, keep in mind that any changes to domain sync settings should be communicated to your clients, especially if they affect the way they manage their domains through the client portal.
