Client Status Update

Updating a client's status in WHMCS can be useful for managing client accounts based on their current status or activity. There are several client statuses in WHMCS, including Active, Inactive, Closed, and Pending.

Here's how you can update a client's status in WHMCS:

  1. Log into WHMCS: Access your WHMCS admin panel using your username and password.

  2. Navigate to Clients:

    • Click on the "Clients" tab in the top navigation menu.
  3. Search for the Client:

    • Use the search bar or filters to locate the specific client account you want to update.
  4. View Client Details:

    • Click on the client's name or ID to access their detailed information.
  5. Update Status:

    • In the client's details page, locate the section where you can edit client information. There should be an option to change the client's status.

    • Select the desired status from the dropdown menu. The options typically include Active, Inactive, Closed, and Pending.

  6. Save Changes:

    • After updating the client's status, be sure to save your changes.
  7. Communicate with the Client:

    • If necessary, communicate with the client regarding any changes in their status. For example, if their account is being closed, inform them about the process.
  8. Optional: Automate Client Status Changes:

    • WHMCS allows you to set up automation rules that can automatically change a client's status based on certain criteria (e.g., inactivity, non-payment).
  9. Document the Change:

    • It's good practice to keep a record of any changes made to a client's status for future reference.

Remember to handle client status updates with care, especially if it involves closing or deactivating an account. Always follow your company's policies and any applicable legal requirements.
