I have mod_hostinglimits installed, but I don't see anything in lvetop, lve is not working

It seems like you're experiencing issues with mod_hostinglimits and LVE (CloudLinux's Lightweight Virtual Environment). Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the problem:

  1. Check if mod_hostinglimits is properly installed and loaded:

    • Make sure that mod_hostinglimits is correctly installed and enabled in your Apache configuration. You can check the httpd.conf or apache2.conf file, or the appropriate configuration file for your system.
    • Ensure that the module is listed in the output of the httpd -M command.
  2. Verify if CloudLinux is installed:

    • Ensure that CloudLinux is properly installed and activated on your server. This is a prerequisite for LVE to work.
  3. Check if LVE is properly configured:

    • Verify if the LVE settings are properly configured in CloudLinux. You can do this using the lveinfo command. For example, lveinfo --top should show you the current resource usage.
  4. Check if Lvestats daemon is running:

    • The lvestats daemon should be running for LVE to function properly. You can check its status by running service lvestats status.
  5. Verify if cPanel or DirectAdmin integration is correct (if applicable):

    • If you're using a control panel like cPanel or DirectAdmin, ensure that they are properly integrated with CloudLinux. This may involve installing specific plugins or modules.
  6. Check for errors in logs:

    • Look for any error messages related to mod_hostinglimits, LVE, or CloudLinux in your Apache error logs (/var/log/httpd/error_log or similar).
  7. Restart Apache and loveseats:

    • After making any changes to the configuration, restart Apache and the lvestats service to apply the changes.
  8. Contact CloudLinux support:

    • If none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider reaching out to CloudLinux support or their community forums for further assistance.

Remember to back up your configuration files before making any changes, and proceed with caution. Making incorrect changes to your server's configuration can lead to unexpected issues.

Additionally, ensure that you're using an up-to-date version of CloudLinux and mod_hostinglimits, as updates may contain bug fixes and improvements.
