CageFS remount fixed my issue, but support states that CageFS is not the problem, why?

If you've resolved an issue by remounting CageFS, but CloudLinux support insists that CageFS is not the problem, it could be due to a few reasons:

  1. Support's Limited Knowledge of the Specific Issue:

    • The support team might not have detailed information about your specific server's configuration or the exact nature of the issue you faced. As a result, they might not immediately recognize that CageFS was indeed a factor.
  2. Complexity of Interactions:

    • Sometimes, multiple components in a server environment can interact in complex ways. It's possible that the issue you encountered had contributing factors beyond just CageFS. Support might be focused on identifying other potential causes.
  3. Other Confounding Factors:

    • There could be other factors at play that influenced the issue. These could include specific server settings, configurations, software versions, or even specific user interactions.
  4. Potential Miscommunication:

    • There might be a miscommunication or misunderstanding between you and the support team regarding the exact symptoms of the issue and the steps you took to resolve it.
  5. Desire for Further Investigation:

    • Support might want to conduct a more thorough investigation to understand the root cause, rather than attributing it solely to CageFS. They may want to rule out other potential contributing factors.
  6. Avoiding Assumptions:

    • Support might be taking a cautious approach to avoid making assumptions about the issue's cause. They may want to ensure that any underlying problems are thoroughly investigated.

While it's good that you were able to find a solution by remounting CageFS, it's possible that there were additional factors involved in the issue. If you believe that CageFS was a significant factor, it might be helpful to provide the support team with detailed information about the symptoms and steps you took to resolve it. This can help them better understand the situation and potentially improve their support process.
